Deposit and Refund Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains how your £99 deposit and the £300 balance work, and in what circumstances the deposit can be refunded.
1. How the pricing works
Your website costs £399 in total. You pay £99 today as a deposit to secure your build slot, and we begin work on your draft. The remaining £300 balance is payable only after you have reviewed your draft, we have made any reasonable amendments you requested, and you confirm you are ready to launch.
2. When the deposit is refundable
If you cancel your order before work on your draft has substantially commenced, your £99 deposit is fully refunded. We are happy to refund it if you change your mind during this short window before we begin building.
3. When the deposit is not refundable
Because we begin building your draft website shortly after you order, the £99 deposit is non-refundable once work on your draft has commenced. This reflects the time and work we invest as soon as you secure your build slot. You are never asked to pay the £300 balance unless you are happy with your draft and ready to launch.
4. The £300 balance
The £300 balance is not a deposit — it is the amount you pay when your website is ready and you approve it for launch. You are not charged this until you confirm you are satisfied with your draft and wish to go live.
5. The £49 monthly plan
If you choose our monthly hosting, maintenance and support plan, it costs £49 per month and begins only when your website goes live. It carries no lengthy contract, and you can stop it with notice in line with the terms agreed at the time.
6. How to request a refund
To request a refund within the refundable window described above, or to ask any question about a deposit, email hello@websitesfortradesuk.co.uk or call 07719 297743. Refunds are returned to the original payment method.
